A concert of Halloween-themed and Broadway musical pieces featuring the mighty pipe organ, amazing choral ensembles, with over 100 singers, incredible musicians, a 1920’s silent film, costume contest with prizes, reception. Featuring the choruses of Sacred Heart University and the University of Bridgeport. Sunday, October 21, 4:00 PM, First Church Congregational Stratford, 2301 Main Street, Stratford. Plenty of parking. Wheel chair accessable. Costumes encouraged. Tickets $15 per adult/$5 students (12-17); Free for children 11 & under.

Proceeds benefit the Louise M. Miller-Paul E. Knox Scholarship given annually by the Greater Bridgeport Chapter, American Guild of Organists. This scholarship, in memory of two distinguished area church musicians, is awarded annually to a promising college-age organist. Past winners have gone on to distinguished careers with international recognition.

Each choral group has become more theatric with their performance pieces adding a great dimension to the music chosen. Current and past performing groups include 4-Heart Harmony, SHU L.O.V.E, SHU Concert Choir, University of Bridgeport Chamber Singers, and University Singers, continue to wow the audience. We include all of the annual favorites that the audience have grown to love — Dr. Joe Utterback (jazz ensemble, costume march), David Harris (inspired with fire, silent film, getting the audience involved), Dr. John Michniewicz (great Toccata in D minor), Victoria Shields (spooky organ), and many more!!!
