Zamolodchikova, Elena

Originally from Moscow, Russia, Elena is currently working on her Doctor of Musical Arts at Sony Brook University. 

Elena began studying piano at age 7 and has now studied piano for 17 years, and historical keyboards for 7 years. She was admitted to the Central Special Music School at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory as a child. She later enrolled and finished degrees with distinction at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in piano and historical keyboard. Elena was awarded a full scholarship to Julliard's School of Historical Performance as a harpsichordist and completed her Masters of Music.

Elena has participated in numerous concerts and masterclasses in Russia, Europe and United States. She also had several solo performances in Russia, and participated in the stage performance of opera Le Devin du Village by J.-J. Rousseau, which was the first performance in Russia after 250 years. Other multi-instrumental solo performances and collaborations include such prominent early music specialists as William Christie, Christopher Hogwood, Monica Huggett, Nicholas
McGegan etc.

Elena works collaboratively with AGO member Dr. Aymeric Dupré la Tour at Zuckermann Harpsichord in Stonington, CT.
