Session II – Vocal Warm-ups to Maximize Productivity in the Choral Rehearsal

September 14, 2019 9:00 AM

Dr. Carolina Flores, Clinician. Warm-ups are crucial for the development of choral blend and the vocal technique of each singer in the ensemble.

This workshop will present a series of warm ups that I found are easy and vocally healthy for adult choirs. We will discuss physical engagement, alignment, breath, vowels/consonants, vocal registers, and vocal agility. Most exercises can be either applied or modify to be used with youth and children’s choirs. Participants will have the opportunity to create warm-ups based on repertoire, so don’t miss this fun and interactive workshop.

Participants: Please bring 1-2 of your favorite warm-ups. There will be time for sharing! No pre-requisite to have attended Session I. Join us!
