University of Bridgeport Choirs - A Motown Revue

Frank Martignetti - Music Director. We're pleased to have the University Singers and University Chamber Singers join us each year at Pipescreams.

The University Singers is an unauditioned mixed-voice chorus, open to University of Bridgeport students, faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as community members. The group exists uniquely as both a UB student organization and a credit-bearing course, to serve the different  needs of our student population, as well as a community service. The Singers perform 4-6 times per year in a variety of venues, including on-campus concerts, performances in the greater Bridgeport area, and for campus-wide events such as the International Festival and Commencement.

The Chamber Singers is an auditioned group of fulltime UB students drawn from the larger ensemble. Since UB boasts one of the most international student bodies of any university in the United States, we strive to maintain a truly, broadly multicultural repertoire while remaining rooted in standard choral literature. The group is governed by a board elected from the UB student membership, and directed by Prof. Frank Martignetti,  UB’s Director of Choral Activities.

The Bernhard Center is located at the corner of University and Iranistan Avenues in the South End of Bridgeport, overlooking Seaside Park. Ample, safe, adjacent parking is available.
