Sacred Heart University - Movies and More 2013

The Sacred Heart Band and Choirs combine forces to present some of the greatest scores from the world of film! From Star Wars and E.T. to The Nightmare Before Christmas and more. Join us for a red carpet evening of music from the silver screen!

Tickets $10 at door or online. This is a 50th Sacred Heart University Celebration Event.

The Vocal Ensembles at Sacred Heart University include:

4 Heart Harmony

This is the University's smaller chamber choir with background and experience in singing and choral music. The group enjoys the small ensemble experience that features fun rhythms and  tight harmonies! The repertoire includes a capella, jazz, pop, show tunes, multicultural and classical choral repertoire. 4-Heart Harmony performs in concerts and events both on and off campus. We are pleased to have 4 Heart Harmony perform annually at Pipescreams.

 

SHU L.O.V.E. (Ladies-Only Vocal Ensemble)

SHU L.O.V.E. – Ladies-Only Vocal Ensemble sings a capella, popular and upbeat works for SSA women’s choral ensemble. We are pleased to have 4 Heart Harmony perform annually at Pipescreams

 

Concert Choir

The large choir ensemble performs a wide variety of great choral repertoire from a number of musical styles and periods. The choir has a a warm, cohesive and  blended sound and performs at University events and both Christmas and Spring concert events.

 

Liturgical Choir

This choir provide music for the Sunday 7PM liturgy.  The music used includes a mix of contemporary and traditional hymns, anthems and service music, up-tempo as well as more traditional in style.

Service Exam Workshop Series

The Greater Bridgeport Chapter is pleased to offer ongoing workshops to help AGO members to prepare for taking the American Guild of Organists Service Playing Certificate. The small group class will be taught by Bridgeport chapter member, organist, Jay Lindsay and will address the various requirements for the exam.
