November 18, 2012 - Elm City Girls’ Choir
Founded in 1993, the Elm City Girls’ Choir has received national recognition, and has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Walt Disney World. Based in New Haven, this group is comprised of the top 16 choristers of United Choir School, New England’s largest youth choir program.

December 9, 2012 - Sanctuary Handbell Choir, 1st Congregational Church, Branford, CT
This ensemble, directed by Michael Lianos, is widely regarded as one of the finest bell choirs in Connecticut. They will present a variety of secular and sacred music for the Christmas season.

March 3, 2013 - Penny Lane: A Tribute to the Beatles
New Haven’s premiere brass quintet, “Brass”, is known for their exciting performances and innovative programs. Their ensemble is built around the principle that music is for everyone, and should be fun. This concert is not to be missed!

April 7, 2013 - Jeffrey Wood, Organist, Music in the Natural World
This concert will celebrate the arrival of Spring with music inspired by nature. Composers have long attempted to capture the sounds of birds, waves, calm pastures, and raging storms. Join us for
this “indoor hike” with the Casavant pipe organ.

May 19, 2013 - Divine Hair: Mass in F
The Jonathan Law Drama Club and Saint Mary Choir will join forces to present this seldom heard work - a unique and funky Mass by the award-winning composer of the smash hit musical “Hair”.

Service Exam Workshop Series

The Greater Bridgeport Chapter is pleased to offer ongoing workshops to help AGO members to prepare for taking the American Guild of Organists Service Playing Certificate. The small group class will be taught by Bridgeport chapter member, organist, Jay Lindsay and will address the various requirements for the exam.
